Hello, I'm Alexa, a freelance graphic designer, born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. Since graduating from the Glasgow School of Art in 2011 with a BA in Visual Communication, I have gained twelve years experience as a designer in both freelance and permanent roles within design & advertising agencies in London.

 

I've worked with a broad range of clients in different sectors, from individuals and small, independent start-ups to worldwide brands. Some recognisable ones include household names Hovis and Nutella, alcoholic beverage brands San Miguel, Hendrick's and Grants whisky, charities and non-profit organisations Water Aid, NHS and Give Blood. Other clients include Beauty Pie, Volkswagen Finance, Travelodge and high street brands like The Body Shop and Holland & Barrett.

Working in Adobe CC InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, AfterEffects and XD, my skillset covers: advertising and marketing communications; digital design such as websites, web banners, email design and social media posts; logo design and visual identity from creation to full brand roll out; brand guidelines; print materials like brochures and posters; presentation template design; animation; artworking and photo retouching.

When I'm not at my computer you'll find me exploring my creativity through painting and ceramics, or getting out into nature – hiking mountains or surfing the waves.
